Working Group on Jobs, Wages and Benefits

The Working Group on Jobs, Wages, and Benefits (WGJWB) is charged with developing a report and making recommendations to the Mayor and Council regarding legislative, programmatic, and policy recommendations to improve the District’s economic competitiveness in the region, attract and retain businesses and employees in the District, protect and promote commercial diversity, promote the creation and retention of well-paying jobs and create pathways to the middle class for District Residents.

Structure and Membership

On Friday, August 5, Mayor Bowser announced her appointees to the Working Group. The Working Group includes representatives from District Government, the business community; labor unions and worker advocate organizations, and the general public.
